Last summer I was contacted by a sweet, young couple to help design the master suite in their newly purchased Dallas home. The Farahmand’s had a few requests for their new space, which included a nice big tub, great storage, and green hues included in the color scheme. After meeting with them a few times, I knew this would be such an enjoyable job! Nari and Freddy were in the midst of moving from their apartment to their new home when they contacted me, and although they had a realistic timeline for the project, we ran into a few issues with contractors and having a few items backordered. Nari and Freddy were patient and trusted me throughout the entire process… which is honestly all I could ever ask for! I’m so excited to show you a little bit of the process and how we achieved this gorgeous master bathroom renovation for the Farahmands!

Finalizing the design
The idea for this bathroom renovation was to provide Nari and Freddy with a relaxing spa-like master suite while incorporating green hues. To achieve this look, I used a polished green ceramic tile to cover the wall behind the free standing tub and shower. I left the shower open to the tub area to maximize the use of the space and created a “wet room”. The vanity was custom built for the space and needs of Nari and Freddy. You may not be able to notice how tall the originally vanity was, but it was much lower than the standard height –and that was not going to work for our very tall client, Freddy! I designed the vanity with our concept in mind and provided as much space for storage as possible while making the vanity the appropriate height and pairing it with two vessel sinks and wall mounted faucets. The countertop and backsplash is a gorgeous white quartz stone with minimal grey veins.

Final thoughts
I would say that my favorite part of this project was seeing the tiled wall installed and designing the vanity to fit perfectly in the space. I don’t think a generic vanity would have given the bathroom the distinctive look we were looking for. If you’re wanting to renovate a room in your home, consider getting things custom built for the space. It makes the world of a difference and the cost may not be too different than the finished products you see online!
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed reading about one of my latest projects. Let me know what you loved the most!
