I realize this reveal is long overdue.. but better late than never, right? The other day, in the middle of a shower, I realized I wasn’t all the way done with this bathroom. I mean it’s done, but there is just one teeny tiny thing missing.. the shower door. We originally planned on installing a cool shower door, but with all the expenses we made during the renovation, we put it off, and now, two years later we still haven’t made the time or budget to get it done. It’s just one of those things that doesn’t really make it to the top of our priority list.. like ever. So I decided to go ahead and show you guys what we have so far!
The colors in this bathroom are pretty neutral with the exception of the gold accents. I loved the way gold looked with the black hexagon and wanted to mix in some wood, so we customized the Ikea Godmorgon vanity with some Semi Handmade drawer fronts! I also decided to mix metals in here, so some of the hardware is gold and some of it is stainless steel. The trick is to stick with two finishes so it doesn’t look crazy!
To style the bathroom I used marble accessories and made sure some of it had a touch of gold. I like sticking with neutrals -white, khaki, grey. I’ve had my fair share of crazy bathroom styling, and really wanted to steer away from any other colors for this bathroom!
We also added some slanted wooden legs for a mid century modern look. (The legs are from TableLegs.com)
I wanted to point out something you may not be aware of or think of when you purchase any of the Godmorgon vanities from Ikea.. the plumbing. We did a little research before we purchased the vanities and knew we would have to tell the plumber about what they needed to do to make it all fit. It’s not a big deal if you just know this ahead of time and tell your plumber before installing the vanity!
I’ll let you take a look at the pictures for yourselves and link everything we used in our bathroom below. I would love to hear your thoughts and if you have any questions, please ask away! I miss the renovation process and would love to hear about your renovations!
Xoxo,
Cynthia

What stain did you use for the vanity legs, they seem to match so well.
We are planning on doing something very similar with the Ikea vanity.
